Don't Buy Oxycodone Online
Oxycodone is in a class of medications called opioid (narcotic) analgesics. It works by changing the way your brain and nervous system respond to pain.
This medication may be habit-forming. Take oxycodone exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not increase your dose or take it more often than prescribed. Store oxycodone in a secure place out of the reach of children. Do not discard unused pills or capsules in a sink or toilet. Ask your pharmacist for safe disposal instructions.
Buying drugs from a website that does not have a real pharmacy license can put you at risk for copyright or diverted medication and serious harm. The online drug marketplace has become increasingly sophisticated in attempting to deceive consumers. In some cases, rogue websites use legitimate-looking logos, 24-hour customer service, and online reviews to trick customers into thinking they are ordering from a reputable business. Other times, they work with drug traffickers in countries such as India and the Dominican Republic to fill orders using fake pills that mimic the look of genuine prescription opiate medication.
The most common rogue online pharmacies sell medication that has been tampered with or contains insufficient amounts of the active drug to treat your condition. The tampering can be as simple as adding extraneous ingredients, such as fillers and sedatives, or as complex as swapping out the active ingredient with a substitute that has a higher potency or different side effects. In some cases, the tampered medication can contain deadly substances such as heroin and fentanyl.
In the United Kingdom, a loophole in safeguarding rules at registered online pharmacies is enabling people with addiction problems to order hundreds of powerful prescription painkillers each month. The Guardian has uncovered that many of these sites do not check whether people are ordering from the same address and so it is possible to buy large quantities of pills repeatedly. The regulator, the GPhC, has said it is considering stricter measures, but it is not yet clear what these might be. More Details Buy Vyvanse Online
There are also concerns that online pharmacy sales of oxycodone could be fuelling the rise in teen drug addiction and overdoses. A recent study found that one in five teenagers who reported misusing a prescription opiate last year went to an opiate clinic and many of these were addicted to pills bought online.
The study involved 9008 SKIP participants who were asked about their sources for primary drug use. The resulting data were analyzed to identify web sites offering opioid medications without prescriptions. Forty-seven Internet searches were conducted with a variety of opioid medication terms, including "codeine," "no prescription Vicodin," and "OxyCon-tin." Results were compared between respondents who reported obtaining their drug from the Internet and those who obtained it from a dealer, friend or relative, or from a physician. It was found that the most common source of oxycodone was the Internet, but controlled-release oxycodone and methadone were less frequently purchased via the Internet.
The FDA is launching Operation Press Your Luck to educate consumers about these risks and to warn them about fraudulent, foreign-based, unlicensed online pharmacies that are selling opioid medication without a valid prescription. The operation is being supported by the FBI, and the agency is working closely with international partners to shut down these illegal sites.
